Aims & Objectives
- Jaffery Nursery & Primary School is aimed at giving quality and sound education to the children.
- The school also aims at giving the children moral values through imparting Muslim values that could enhance their spiritual lives.
- The school aims at creating an enabling environment for the children to be self-reliant through qualitative application of the lessons learned.
- The school was created to reduce the high cost of education to the affordable rate for the children of the poor and the needy. Jaffer Foundation bares the cost of those Students with financial difficulties.

Our pride is quality teaching and learning
Jaffery Nursery & Primary School is a Private Community School located in Mombasa Old Town. We offer the Competence Based Curriculum (CBC) starting from Day-care, PP1, PP2, Grade 1 to Grade 8.
We are a Sister to Jaffery Academy Mombasa which offers the British Based Curriculum [International General Certificate of Education (IGCE)] located in Kizingo, Mombasa. We are managed by KSI Education Board and sponsored by Jaffer Foundation.
The school commenced in August, 2018. We have five (5) Nursery classes, twelve (12) Primary classes, two (2) libraries, TV room, fully equipped kitchen and our Students enjoy both indoor and outdoor games. We have over 250 Students and are continually growing in numbers.

Our History
Jaffery Nursery & Primary School opened in 2018, 31st August. It represented the fulfilment of a dream for the co-founders KSI Mombasa Jamaat Chairman Alhaj Dr. Mohamed H Jaffer and Alhaj Shiraz Virji. Dr. M H. Jaffer had long envisioned a high-quality childcare center and school in the Old Town Community for the very youngest children and an adult center. Jaffery Nursery & Primary School was created with an abundance of collective energy and like-mindedness and it is managed by the KSI Education Board.
The school provides a unique Early Childhood Education program which is influenced by the current Competence Based Curriculum (CBC). The Primary mission of the school is to promote a rich, meaningful Early Childhood experience for all children.
Dr. M H. Jaffer intentionally chose to open the school in Old Town as he wanted to embrace the idea of creating a highly quality School to boost the morale of Old Town students and help motivate them to learn as majority of the children had no motivation/means to learn. The school environment is rich with engaging materials that offer limitless possibilities for young children. The school has a fully-functioning kitchen that is attached to a dining room in which children can enjoy their meals.
Jaffery Nursery and Primary School has over 200 Students with a total of 13 Teachers, 1 Headmistress, 4 Support Staff, 1 day Security personnel, an Accountant and an Administrator. There are 12 Classrooms for the Primary Section and 5 Classrooms for the Nursery section.
